How much does a boiler or water heater diagnostic cost?
The diagnostic / service call is $120. If you decide to proceed with the repair, $99 of that is credited toward the repair.
What does “If we don’t fix it, you don’t pay for the repair” mean?
If we don’t fix the problem, you don’t pay for the repair. The standard $120 diagnostic/service-call fee still applies for the diagnosis and assessment, including when we determine the equipment can’t be repaired. Parts, materials and any other services you authorize are additional where applicable. Read the service terms.
Do you offer emergency boiler repair?
Yes. If your boiler has broken down and you’re without heat, or your water heater has stopped and you have no hot water, call us directly. That’s the fastest way to reach our team.
Do you repair tankless water heaters?
Yes. We repair both tank and tankless water heaters, and we provide maintenance for tankless units.
Can you tell me the repair price over the phone?
Repair cost depends on what’s actually wrong, which is why we diagnose first. Once the technician has found the cause, they’ll explain the repair and its cost so you can decide whether to proceed.
Should I repair or replace my boiler or water heater?
After the diagnosis, the technician explains the repair and its cost. If replacement makes more sense, they’ll tell you. We install new boilers and tank and tankless water heaters too.
What boiler and water heater brands do you service?

Do you service commercial boilers?
Yes. We repair, maintain and install boilers for both residential and commercial customers.
Do you do boiler maintenance?
Yes. Along with repairs and installations, we provide boiler maintenance and tankless water heater maintenance.

Certified Mechanical is a TSSA-registered contractor, and we have G2 gas licence holders on our team. We’re also WSIB covered and carry $2 million in insurance coverage.

- Get everyone out of the building right away. Don’t use light switches, phones or anything that could make a spark inside.
- Once you’re outside and at a safe distance, call us at 416-908-6993. We find and repair gas leaks.
- If you can’t reach us, call your gas utility’s emergency line (Enbridge Gas in the GTA) or 911.
- If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding, leave the building and call 911.
- Don’t try to repair gas lines or gas appliances yourself.
